Cause

1,134 people lost their lives and over 2,500 more were injured when Rana Plaza collapsed in April 2013 - the single worst tragedy in the fashion industry's history.

Profits from our Spring Summer 2015 line will go to the Rana Plaza Donors Trust Fund, which supports the loss of income and medical costs of the victims and their families.

"When the story broke, brutal images of young women trapped under rubble and bloodied survivors shocked the world, and statements of remorse spilled out of spokespeople for Primark and Bonmarché, both of whom were supplied by the factory at the time of the disaster.

The Rana Plaza Arrangement estimated that the fund would need to collect $40 million to cover the expected claims. As of 4 August 2014, the current total is just under $17.9 million."

In January 2014, the Rana Plaza Donors Trust Fund was set up in the spirit of solidarity and compassion, however over a year later the fund is still under half-full.

A gesture has been made but it's still nowhere near enough. It's time to start paying it back and YOUNG+IDLE are proud to support the cause.
